About The Position

Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville seeks to hire a Therapy Technician/CNA for our Inpatient Rehabilitation Department, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Therapy Technician, you will assist the therapist in treating patients, transport patients to and from scheduled activities, order patient durable medical equipment for discharge, manage inventory of supplies and documents, communicate schedule changes to patients and families, and clean equipment (wheelchairs, durable medical equipment, mats). Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Maryland required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Basic computer skills/proficiency with Word and Excel required
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a therapy/rehab setting or healthcare setting preferred
• Enthusiastic, driven individual; works well in team environment; self-motivated preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the therapist in treating patients
• Transport patients to and from scheduled activities (teams, therapy, dining)
• Ordering patient durable medical equipment for discharge
• Inventory of supplies and documents
• Communicating schedule changes to patients and families
• Cleaning of equipment (wheelchairs, durable medical equipment, mats)
• Additional duties as assigned
