About The Position

Join the team as a day-shift, PRN Outpatient Therapy Service Technician in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position supports both the downtown and Rio Rancho clinics at Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital, which provides rehabilitation services for patients recovering from healthcare conditions and is accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

The technician assists with medically prescribed therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. The role also provides non-clinical support, including maintaining patient treatment areas and basic clerical work, while following policies, procedures, and regulations to support compliance and patient safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a certified physical therapy technician program or comparable experience.
• One year of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient setting as a therapy technician.

Responsibilities
