About The Position

One Physics is seeking a Therapy Medical Physicist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be an integral member of the One Physics team, capable of working independently at client sites to provide the highest level of clinical service. This role is based in Beloit, WI, in a single-LINAC, all-Elekta environment with an average daily census of ~20 patients. The clinic offers a manageable clinical workload, a strong, collaborative team culture, and a welcoming environment. This position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week, with an upcoming opportunity to be part of a technology upgrade to the Elekta Evo.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in state and professional regulations.
  • Ability to interpret regulations.
  • Willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.
  • A desire to demonstrate initiative and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
  • Capable of paying strict attention to detail, thorough, and well-organized.
  • Ability to actively problem-solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
  • Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
  • Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
  • Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
  • Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
  • Perform additional duties, as needed.
