About The Position
Seeking a full-time therapy aide to join a large multi-disciplinary team at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Plano, TX. The therapy aide will focus on assisting the clinic's lymphedema and oncology team with administrative tasks, schedule and wait-list management, and providing assistance as a second set of hands for patient care in collaboration with licensed clinicians. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and a strong team player.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- BLS Certification or completion within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the clinic's lymphedema and oncology team with administrative tasks.
- Schedule and wait-list management.
- Assisting as a second set of hands for patient care in collaboration with licensed clinicians.
- Working with patients under a therapists' directions to help provide comprehensive rehabilitation.
- Assistance to clinicians for direct patient care (transferring, toileting).
- Infection control cleaning.
- Light equipment maintenance.
- Driving routes to transport patients to and from clinic.
- Assistance to front desk for light clerical tasks.
- Setting up patients on therapeutic activities.
- Facilitating exercise groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
