About The Position

Big Stone Therapies is currently seeking a part-time Therapy Aide to join our team at our rehabilitative therapy clinic in Owatonna, MN at 123 W Broadway St. This position is scheduled for 15 hours per week, 3:00pm - 6:00pm. The Therapy Aide will be responsible for maintaining clinic supplies, preparing and sanitizing treatment spaces and equipment, and assisting with patient transport. This role also involves significant customer service duties, including courteously receiving and responding to calls and emails, maintaining confidentiality of Protected Health Information, and demonstrating excellent customer service in all interactions. Additional duties include distributing mail, scanning, faxing, printing documents, maintaining patient charts, opening and closing duties, attending meetings, and other clinic duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of MS Office products and the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality
  • General knowledge of MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Comfort in utilizing Outlook internet/e-mail.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Nonsupervisory: care of equipment, machines, supplies; prevention of unnecessary expense, waste, loss of time and damage to equipment; and order and cleanliness of the department/facility
  • Must know the general principles and laws relative to medical administration; department/company policies, procedures, and regulations; layout of the department/building; be aware of inter- and intradepartmental/company communications
  • Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office products, the Internet, and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and in-person customer service abilities.
  • Able to adapt and thrive in a changing and fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a medical office setting or other customer service-related field
