About The Position

The Therapy Aide supports physical therapy, speech-language therapy, and occupational therapy by assisting with patient preparation, equipment setup, and administrative tasks. The role helps maintain an organized therapy environment and supports efficient therapy sessions and patient care. This position works 24 hours per week and is eligible for part-time benefits.

Requirements

High school diploma and/or GED.
Knowledge of therapy principles, practices, and techniques to provide appropriate patient care.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Working knowledge of the EPIC electronic medical records system.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors for fostering work and patient relationships.
Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy.
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to use computers, phones, and office equipment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Required CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) certification from an approved program.

Responsibilities

Maintain treatment and gym areas, including cleaning, disinfecting, and storing therapy equipment after use; report equipment malfunctions to staff.
Escort patients to treatment areas and assist with patient setup as instructed by the therapist.
Assist with positioning during therapy sessions, including guarding for patient safety and supporting treatment modalities.
Coordinate with the Patient Service Representative team to help manage patient wait lists and scheduling needs in the EPIC electronic medical records system.
Order clinic supplies and equipment.
