Therapy Aide (Bachelor Level) - Outpatient - PRN
About The Position
Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in Greenville, Texas, serving adults and seniors in a comfortable, homelike setting. Its multidisciplinary staff provides mental health and chemical dependency care and applies current treatment approaches. The Therapy Aide performs counseling and social services functions, helping patients meet biopsychosocial needs and access therapeutic treatment skills to support their emotional health. The role includes teaching, providing specialized clinical services to patients and families, crisis intervention, and offering information and referrals as needed. The position also serves as a backup Court Liaison in the Therapy Department. The schedule is as needed, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling or a clinically related mental health field.
- At least one year of experience in related disciplines.
- Complete Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of appointment and before assisting in a restraining procedure.
- CPR certification; certification may be obtained during new-hire orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health hospital experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
