About The Position

Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville is seeking to hire an experienced Patient Access Technologist for their Rockville Rehab Team. This role is crucial in facilitating patient enrollment in outpatient programs by accurately capturing patient information (clinical and demographic) through electronic and paper means. The Patient Access Technologist will also handle scheduling functions, assist therapy team members with direct patient care under supervision, maintain department cleanliness and supplies, and perform various administrative tasks. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred – Associate degree in health-related field
  • Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means.
  • Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language.
  • Assist the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed.
  • Maintain the department cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies.
  • Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
