About The Position

Adventist Rehabilitation - Silver Spring seeks to hire a Therapy Aide/Patient Access Technician for our Rehab Department, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Therapy Aide/Patient Access Technician, you will facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means. You will also answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language. Additionally, you will assist the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed, maintain the department's cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies, and participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a health-related field
  • 1-2 years experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare
