About The Position

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Therapy Aide II (Activities/Life Enrichment) for their Allentown & Fountain Hill locations. This part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, involves planning and implementing recreational and leisure activities for residents. The role requires collaboration with the Life Enrichment team and other departments, such as nursing, to ensure residents' leisure needs are met according to their care plans in an organized and safe manner. Documentation in the resident's chart is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of substantiated experience working in a Long-term Care Activities or Therapeutic Recreation or Life Enrichment Department and/or a BS in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Educational equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Possession of a valid PA Driver's License.

• If multiple candidates have the same amount of required Activities/T.R./L.E. experience, then the candidate with more seniority at Cedarbrook will be chosen.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and implements nursing home resident activities programming.
• Assesses resident recreation needs and helps to develop care planning in coordination with resident's input and the interdisciplinary team.
• Run group activities and assists team in running large events, including resident outings.
• Works with the L.E. team and other departments, such as nursing, to ensure residents' leisure needs are met as per the care plan in an organized and safe manner.
• Documents appropriately in the resident's chart.
• Performs related work as required.
