About The Position

Healthpro Pediatrics has a great Therapy Aid opportunity in Plant City/Ruskin, FL! This role involves coordinating therapy schedules with Virtual Speech Language Pathologists, escorting children to and from virtual sessions, assisting with technology setup and troubleshooting, facilitating communication with teachers, and performing clerical duties such as filing IEP paperwork. Requirements

• Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
• Good interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children
• Currently in college pursuing degrees or certifications in Education, Early Childhood/Childcare, or getting their Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Psychology possibly leading to working in therapeutic fields.
• Graduate of an accredited school of speech language pathology assistant with an Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One year experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Therapy Schedule with Virtual Speech Language Pathologist
• Escort children to and from virtual session to computers to help with logins and manage behavior and attention for session
• Setting up technology and trouble shooting
• Facilitate communication with teachers regarding scheduling
• Clerical duties of filing IEP Paperwork in Cumulative Files and Speech work folders.
