About The Position

This role blends client service, staffing delivery, and revenue growth across a portfolio of healthcare/therapy staffing accounts. The Therapy Account Manager is responsible for building and managing relationships with rehab therapy healthcare clients including hospitals, health systems, clinics, rehabilitation organizations, and healthcare networks. This role serves as the primary client contact responsible for ensuring successful delivery of travel healthcare staffing services, maintaining strong client satisfaction, and driving account growth. The Therapy Account Manager works closely with internal recruiting teams to align client demand with candidate supply, ensuring open job orders are filled quickly, service expectations are met, and long-term partnerships continue to expand. This position requires strong relationship management skills, an understanding of healthcare staffing workflows, and the ability to navigate regulated healthcare environments. Success in this role is measured through account growth, strong fill ratios, increasing Travelers on Assignment (TOA), and Net Weeks Booked across the client portfolio.

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare staffing, healthcare account management, or healthcare workforce solutions
  • Understanding of healthcare staffing workflows including job orders, submissions, placements, and clinician onboarding
  • Familiarity with MSP/VMS platforms and healthcare staffing programs
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing priorities
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret performance metrics
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms such as Salesforce, TargetRecruit, or similar systems

  • Experience supporting travel nursing, allied health, or locum tenens staffing programs
  • Familiarity with hospital staffing models and workforce planning

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders including department leaders, staffing coordinators, and MSP/VMS program managers. Maintain consistent communication to understand workforce needs, staffing priorities, and operational challenges.
  • Own job order intake and client demand within assigned accounts. Partner with recruiting teams to ensure open job orders are filled efficiently while maintaining strong submission activity, interview flow, and placement outcomes.
  • Following client acquisition by Business Development, assume responsibility for account delivery, job order management, and growth of Travelers on Assignment (TOA) and net weeks booked within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with recruiting, credentialing, compliance, payroll, and operations teams to ensure clinicians are successfully on-boarded and assignments run smoothly.
  • Address service issues, clinician concerns, or workflow disruptions quickly and coordinate solutions with internal teams to maintain client confidence and continuity of care.
  • Develop account strategies focused on increasing job order volume, improving fill ratios, optimizing bill rates, and expanding therapy disciplines or clinical service lines within existing clients.
  • Track account performance metrics including fill ratios, job order volume, clinician retention, Travelers on Assignment (TOA), and net weeks booked. Provide regular updates and insights to internal leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through additional departments, facilities, or therapy disciplines while supporting contract renewals and pricing discussions.
  • Assist with contract renewals, pricing discussions, and documentation while ensuring alignment with MSP/VMS program requirements and healthcare compliance standards.
  • The Therapy Account Manager is responsible for driving growth within assigned accounts through increased job order volume, strong collaboration with recruiting teams, and expansion of staffing services across therapy disciplines. Success in this role includes increasing Travelers on Assignment (TOA), growing net weeks booked, and identifying opportunities to deepen client partnerships and generate additional placements.
