About The Position

The Therapist is responsible for seeking to facilitate the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of their clients. This role requires a minimum of 15 clinical hours per week and is guided by the mission of the center, utilizing a respectful, constructive, and energetic style.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work required.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a client load of at least 15 clinical hours per week.
  • Adherence to a respectful, constructive, and energetic professional style.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for educating the community and training ministers.
  • Commitment to the mission and spiritual objectives of The Timothy Center.
  • Active desire to facilitate the work of the Holy Spirit in client lives.

Nice To Haves

  • Current state licensure as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients or patients in individual or group sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies or adjusting to life.
  • Guide clients in developing skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
  • Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information.
  • Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of therapy.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with SMART goals based on clinical experience.
  • Collaborate with staff members for clinical assessments and treatment plans when establishing care.
  • Refer patients or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary.
  • Maintain client-related paperwork, including diagnostic records and progress notes.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
  • Stay updated on new counseling developments by reading professional literature and attending seminars.
