About The Position

The Connection's Center for Treatment of Problem Sexual Behavior (CTPSB) is hiring for a full-time Therapist position. CTPSB provides community-based treatment to adults who have a history of problematic sexual behavior. In this role, you will support justice-involved individuals in identifying triggers, managing risk factors, and learning socially acceptable behaviors to promote community safety. The ideal candidate will enjoy group facilitation and collaborating with colleagues, supervising officers, and community partners. This position may also involve individual treatment, evaluations, risk assessments, and timely documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in counseling or social work field
• Must be eligible for licensure as LMSW, LPCA, MFTA or above
• 2 years of related experience in the field of social work and/or behavioral health
• Valid Connecticut driver’s license
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.

Responsibilities

• Support justice involved individuals learn how to identify triggers, manage risk factors and learn socially acceptable behaviors to promote community safety.
• Provide individual treatment as clinically necessary.
• Conduct evaluations and risk assessments.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Enjoy group facilitation and collaborating with colleagues, supervising officers and community partners.
• Demonstrate an ability to be trauma informed, willing to learn, and able to adhere to ethical standards of practice.
