One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services. We are currently seeking a full-time Therapist for the Community Wellness Hubs to provide client-centered clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role supports individuals facing barriers to healthcare access, including those who are underhoused, living with mental health challenges, experiencing substance use, managing complex health conditions, and individuals who identify as BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers to Canada, or who are uninsured or underinsured. The successful candidate will be committed to health equity, cultural safety, and accessible care for underserved communities. The Therapist provides evidence-based, trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan, within a community-based primary care setting. Services are delivered in a culturally safe, client-centred manner that respects diverse backgrounds, traditions, values, and lived experiences. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support client-centred care and community wellness initiatives.
