About The Position

This position is responsible for providing therapy to patients (may include individual, group, and/or family) and crisis intervention services. Completes assessments, documentation for services rendered, and case managed duties as needed. The conditions described are representative of those required to perform this role, with reasonable accommodations available. This position involves regular standing, walking, and communication, with frequent use of hands and occasional bending, kneeling, or climbing. The role may require lifting up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 75 pounds occasionally. Standard visual abilities are required. Work is performed in a moderate noise environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or counseling
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Licensed MSW or Licensed Clinical Social worker Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Working in a residential setting
  • Working in a trauma informed environment
  • Knowledge of trauma and the impact on healthy development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical counseling services to patients with a focus on those affected by trauma. Will provide group therapy and may provide individual and family therapy
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Complete various assessments and reports as appropriate such as pre-admission, admission, trauma, suicide, and substance abuse
  • Formulate and administer treatment plans
  • Participate in meetings, staffing, and other appointments with patients as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external individuals and groups to provide excellent care, customer service and cooperation
  • Assure proper authorizations are in place prior to provision of services
  • Prepare insurance reviews for insurance companies
  • Assist in SCM restraints as needed
  • Other duties as assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs
