About The Position

To provide assessment and treatment services to Synergy Service’s clients and their families in the program(s) assigned. This part-time position, working 20 hours per week, focuses on the Batterer Intervention Program. The role involves direct clinical counseling, case management, and participation in program development and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

Master's degree (M. A.) in psychology, social work, counseling, marital and family, art therapy, or other applied behavior science degree.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must have a Master’s Degree in the behavioral sciences. (Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Must have a valid Drivers license.
Must be at least 20 years of age.
Pass a background check that includes fingerprinting and a drug screen.
Ability to use general office equipment.
Ability to use computer software, including Windows, Word for Windows, Outlook, Assess and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Provides direct clinical counseling services including assessment (initial assessment, testing, or other assessment) and treatment (individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, art therapy, play therapy, support groups, and psycho-educational groups) with designated client populations.
Provides treatment planning, case management, and follow-up of cases specifically for victims and clients of the Batterer’s Intervention Program.
Case management includes providing support calls, answering intake calls, networking with agencies, coordinating services, representing the Agency at legal proceedings, responding to subpoenas, writing reports and making referrals for additional or different services.
Responds to initial contact phone calls and documents information as needed.
Maintains client files according to Agency documentation standards.
Maintains and submitted numerical counts of the activities of the Batterer’s Intervention Program (e.g. LAP, MCADSV, MAACLink, etc.).
Participates in weekly peer supervision group and individual supervision of cases as needed.
Participates in professional development and training such as attending continuing education workshops.
Works toward credentialing or licensure as appropriate.
Participates in program planning and problem solving and attends program meetings.
Participation in Performance and Quality Improvement activity is required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
