About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for 2 Therapist's (licensed or registered; LMFT AMFT LCSW; any other license registered with the BBS) at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, CA. San Pasqual Academy is a unique campus located on 238 acres, equipped with amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. On-grounds sports and activities include basketball, softball, and football. Our campus features residential staff and house parents who mentor and tutor students, teach independent living skills, create opportunities to explore new interests, encourage participation in sports and recreation, assist in career exploration, and promote family living skills. Requirements

  • Candidates must demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect, with a genuine desire to work with at-risk adolescents.
  • Applicants are required to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
  • A current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years is required.
  • Candidates must be licensed or registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Experience working in a residential setting and or with at-risk adolescent populations.
  • Familiarity with navigating an Electronic Health Records system, preferably EXYM, is required.
  • Strong communication, written, and organizational skills, along with effective time management and the ability to meet multiple deadlines, are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy as indicated by program needs, including clinical assessment, service planning, record keeping, and service coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and oversee the completion of treatment plans on an individual, family, and group basis.
  • Document and assess the effectiveness of interventions toward treatment goals.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in crisis intervention when needed.
  • Prepare monthly progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff and interns as assigned.
  • Collaborate closely with education, residential, and clinical leadership to support student outcomes.
