About The Position

Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate treatment plans for assigned caseload as well as facilitate individual, group and family treatment sessions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mental health discipline.
  • Must be licensed or provisionally licensed.
  • Minimum two years clinical experience in client assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.
  • Self-directed work style and ability to collaborate effectively with treatment team, agency administrators, and all personnel to meet agency objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative in managing job responsibilities, communicating job performance ideas and concerns to supervisor, and seeking resources to maintain and build areas of expertise.
  • Excel at time management, documentation skills, and have excellent computer skills to be able to navigate the EHR system.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a representative of the agency, and thus converse professionally and knowledgeably with clients, their families, licensing, referral agents, law enforcement and the public at large.
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate program's needs to include evening and weekend hours.
  • Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to use computerized client database systems for documentation and record keeping.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, families, referral agents and other professionals in person, by telephone and by email.
  • Ability to climb stairs to access clients at all times in the buildings.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in order to transport clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Addiction Counselor preferred, or actively seeking this licensure.
  • Prefer work experience with individuals and families.
  • Prefer interest in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Candidates who demonstrate professional proficiency in English and a second language that is directly used in the performance of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Review each new client’s comprehensive history, previous treatment, and initial treatment goals.
  • Report client progress and treatment concerns to Supervisor and share all treatment suggestions with the treatment team.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team in decision-making processes involving clinical issues that impact treatment.
  • Remain available on an on-call basis for client crisis.
  • Participate actively in the admission, treatment planning, discharge and aftercare planning for the client.
  • Complete client discharge summaries.
  • Assure that an individual client’s plan is developed and required treatment plan review and modifications are made.
  • Assure that the treatment plan for each client is implemented and documented in the their file.
  • Assure that client documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date as required by BHA standards.
  • Assume primary responsibility for assigned caseload to include the assessment and development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a 10-day comprehensive treatment plan, quarterly updated treatment plan and monthly reports if applicable.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions for each client on caseload as required by service type.
  • Report to the client's treatment team all information regarding progress, significant events, issues, or concerns.
  • Document all individual, family and group sessions in the client file.
  • Directly responsible for the client’s record and compliance with licensing, contract, and BHA requirements.
  • Maintain client records in the agency’s EHR.
  • Develop discharge and transition plans for client caseload.
  • Directly responsible for the coordination and provision of transition resources for clients on caseload.
  • Represent the agency, in word and action, in a manner that conveys professionalism, consensus of department and treatment team, support the agency mission and treatment philosophies, and regard for agency policies and procedures.
  • Role model to clients in an appropriate demeanor, appearance, language and communication.
  • Treat with respect the findings, views, and actions of all colleagues, and use appropriate channels to express judgment on these matters.
  • Work within the bounds of professional protocol, in all manner of speaking.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Effectively represent the mission and purpose of Turning Point.
  • Oversee all aspects of the client’s treatment services and delivery.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor to ensure the quality of therapeutic services for the clients served in all areas of the program.
  • Direct supervision of assigned interns, and pre-licensed clinicians when applicable.
  • Approve and sign notes for assigned supervisees.
  • Hire interns, therapists, clinicians as applicable.
  • Oversee additional programs as assigned.

Benefits

  • $65,000 + $5,000 bilingual differential (full-time status)
