About The Position

Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Therapist to join the Children, Youth, and Families Mental Health program as a member of the Quest youth day treatment team. This position is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and monitoring client progress using evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions. The therapist collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team, provides crisis intervention as needed, and maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Licensed as a masters-level clinician in the State of Utah.
Experience in completing behavioral health assessments and providing clinical care to youth and their families is required.
Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
Must comply with Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
Demonstrates the skills necessary to motivate and engage individuals.
Good organizational and practice management skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively.
Considerable knowledge of the techniques and principles of child and family development and family systems theory.
Considerable knowledge of trauma-informed care, including screening, assessing, and treating from a trauma-informed lens.
Ability to work in environments where exposure to unpredictable or emotionally charged situations may occur while maintaining professional composure and situational awareness.

Nice To Haves

Fully licensed LCSW preferred.
Candidates with an active license in the State of Utah as a CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, or MFT will be considered.
Strong preference for candidates who are bilingual English/Spanish.
Experience and knowledge of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders is preferred.
Experience working with youth across varying levels of acuity and care.
Spanish-speaking is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder assessments and diagnoses as appropriate.
Develop individualized treatment plans consisting of mutually agreed-upon goals and objectives and update as needed.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to decrease symptoms and improve functioning.
Maintain agency standards for productivity and documentation.
Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed to provide effective care.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and regularly scheduled supervision.
Complete all required training that is assigned to this position by the defined deadlines.
Maintain professional and ethical standards.
Provide treatment to youth experiencing mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Provide crisis assessment and intervention when necessary.
Ensure services support client stability, recovery, and functioning in the community.
Other duties as assigned.
