Women in Recovery (WIR) Continuing Care Therapist provides direct, gender-specific individual and group counseling, family and relationship counseling services within a outpatient treatment format to participants; with emphasis on recovery from substance abuse, role-modeling, women only groups, trauma, health and wellness, parenting and family reunification. Therapist maintains and cultivates relationships with external agencies, such as probation personnel, ancillary service providers, referring agencies, etc. The WIR program changes lives but also carries far reaching benefits such as strengthening individuals and whole families that has lasting impact for generations, breaks the cycle of intergenerational incarceration and helps women become productive and responsible citizens. WIR Continuing Care Therapists engage in helping women conquer their drug addiction, recover from trauma and acquire the essential economic, emotional and social tools to build successful and productive lives. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges. Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to: Increased access to care and crisis services, Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services, Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients, Greater access to Social Services for clients’ economic and social needs, Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
