About The Position

Avivo is seeking a Therapist Trainee, Community Based (Part-Time) to provide therapeutic services to individuals and families while receiving supervision and support in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This position plays a key role in helping people achieve greater stability, wellness, and recovery through person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field.
  • Actively pursuing licensure as an LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW.
  • Experience providing direct behavioral health or mental health services.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and lived-experience backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented services, and person-centered practices.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel throughout the community as needed.
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, primarily during afternoon and evening hours.

Responsibilities

  • Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy services.
  • Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered mental health services.
  • Conduct crisis assessments and provide intervention and stabilization support as needed.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needs.
  • Coordinate services with medical providers, schools, community organizations, and other support systems.
  • Connect clients with community resources and behavioral health services that support successful outcomes.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation in accordance with agency, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
  • Support Avivo's commitment to reducing disparities and advancing equitable access to behavioral health services.
