About The Position

Acenda Integrated Health provides over 100 behavioral health programs, including mental health services, crisis care, substance use recovery, family therapy, maternal and pediatric support, and residential programs across New Jersey. The Therapist role involves providing individual and group counseling with a focus on recovery and mental wellness. This position requires collaboration with Acenda team members to implement evidence-based mental health services and support students in conflict resolution and mediation. The Therapist is also a key partner in shaping and enhancing the delivery of recovery-focused programs and services to promote positive outcomes for clients. The Counseling and Wellness Centers offer weekly mental health counseling to children, teens, families, and adults, as well as parenting and psychiatric services. Individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and medication management are provided both in-person and via telehealth. Medicaid, Aetna, AmeriHealth, and other insurances are accepted.

Requirements

  • A New Jersey CADC or LCADC in good standing
  • A New Jersey LPC, LAC, LCSW, LSW in good standing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel, and the use of Electronic Medical Records
  • Ability to take initiative, be creative, dependable, reliable and work well independently
  • Ability to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently
  • Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing clinical care within a recovery-oriented program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group recovery focused counseling
  • Collaborate with Acenda team members to implement evidence based mental health services
  • Support students in conflict resolution and/or conflict mediation as needed
  • Serve as a key partner to providing important input into our delivery of recovery services
