About The Position

Lawrence Hall is a Chicago-based nonprofit social services agency that provides therapeutic, wellness, and skill development services to youth, families, and neighborhoods affected by lasting trauma. We foster healing and growth through empowerment, respect, safety, and teamwork. Our Child & Family Treatment Center (CFTC) is a 24-hour residential program for DCFS- and ISBE-referred youth ages 8 - 18 who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. With a trauma-informed, outcomes-driven approach, we help youth heal from abuse, neglect, and trauma while building the skills they need to thrive. Be a source of healing and stability for youth who 've experienced trauma. As a Residential Therapist, you ' ll provide individual, group, and family therapy to young people ages 6 - 21 living in Lawrence Hall ' s residential program. You ' ll help them build coping skills, strengthen family connections, and move toward recovery. Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
Valid Illinois driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
Requires travel for home visits, court, or community meetings within the Chicago area.
Requires the physical ability to kneel and return to standing without assistance, as part of crisis intervention.

Experience working with youth in residential or therapeutic settings.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and family therapy using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team and supervisor.
Engage families and caregivers in the healing process and communicate progress toward goals.
Participate in multidisciplinary staffings, clinical reviews, and DCFS or court meetings as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid and agency standards.
Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule and adapt to the needs of the program.
