About The Position

The PHP/IOP Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic services designed to assist clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. The therapeutic services include providing basic consultation, psychoeducation, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. The PHP/IOP therapist also provides crisis intervention, individual therapy, short-term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. Requirements

Must have a Master's Degree in related mental health field
Must have strong clinical assessment skills
Majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population
LCPC/LCSW or Clinical Psychologist licensure is required
Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
Must demonstrate a Trauma Informed approach to both treatment and engagement with PHP/IOP colleagues
Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills
Must possess a thorough working knowledge of the State of Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act
Must be able to effectively work with patients of any age population
Must demonstrate an understanding of normal growth and development as well as developmental stages
Must possess knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and be willing to apply crisis intervention techniques, when necessary

Nice To Haves

A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in individual family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred
