About The Position

The PHP/IOP Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic services designed to assist clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. The therapeutic services include providing basic consultation, psychoeducation, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. The PHP/IOP therapist also provides crisis intervention, individual therapy, short-term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. Requirements

  • Must have a Master's Degree in related mental health field
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills
  • Majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population
  • LCPC/LCSW or Clinical Psychologist licensure is required
  • Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
  • Must demonstrate a Trauma Informed approach to both treatment and engagement with PHP/IOP colleagues
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Must possess a thorough working knowledge of the State of Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act
  • Must be able to effectively work with patients of any age population
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of normal growth and development as well as developmental stages
  • Must possess knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and be willing to apply crisis intervention techniques, when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in individual family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred
