About The Position

The Occupational Therapist works in inpatient occupational therapy at Ascension Via Christi St. Peter in Derby, Kansas. The role evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, or cognitive deficits to restore independence and improve quality of life. The therapist develops personalized care plans using appropriate modalities, equips families and caregivers to support a safe transition home, and collaborates with the clinical team while overseeing therapy assistants and technicians.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Registered Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR), credentialed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) license from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Bachelor's degree required.
