Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Frisco is preparing to open its doors in Spring 2027, and we are assembling an elite team of cardiovascular professionals who want more than a job—they want to help define the future of heart care in one of the nation’s fastest‑growing regions. As a new team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state‑of‑the‑art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world‑class, patient‑centered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening, select roles will begin as early as Summer 2026, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals. This immersive experience ensures you are fully prepared, aligned with our culture, and equipped with the highest standards of clinical excellence well before the Frisco campus opens.

Requirements

  • Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

  • Must demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.
  • Exhibits proven synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Assures excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
  • High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
  • Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
  • Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
  • Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
