About The Position

A Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) provides clinical social work services, including assessment, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and treatment planning for individuals, families, and groups. Duties vary by employer. The Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) delivers mental health and social services to clients experiencing emotional, behavioral, psychological, or social challenges. The LISW conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, provides therapy, coordinates care, and connects clients with community resources.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current LISW license in the applicable state
• Clinical assessment and counseling experience
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment approaches
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally
• Bachelor’s degree in Social work with an Ohio LSW
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and Insurance
• Must be able to be CPR/First Aid certified within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes
• Coordinate with physicians, counselors, schools, and community agencies
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments
• Advocate for clients and assist with resource navigation
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
