About The Position

The therapist intern is a primary member of a treatment team in the clinic's behavioral health program for Merakey. Essential responsibilities include delivering therapy services (individual, couples, and family), conducting intake assessments, providing group therapy, and coordinating care under the leadership of the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor. The therapist initiates active engagement of clients, promotes retention, and provides therapy to individuals who suffer from mild to severe forms of mental illness.

Requirements

• Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited master's level program, majoring in a human service-related field, including social work, psychology, or clinical counseling.
• Practicum: Minimum of 15 hours per week
• Internship I and Internship II: Minimum of 20 hours per week
