About The Position

This role involves providing virtual therapy sessions in a secure location compliant with HIPAA standards. The therapist will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing clients using DSM-V guidelines, creating personalized treatment plans, and delivering individual, family, or group therapy interventions. Key duties include crisis intervention, risk assessment, referring clients to supportive services, and maintaining timely electronic clinical documentation. The position also requires consultation and supervision with other clinicians, collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team, assisting in training, attending staff meetings, completing relevant trainings, and adhering to company policies. The therapist must meet weekly productivity requirements and ensure the privacy and security of virtual sessions.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree, or higher advanced degree.
  • Licensed in the professional discipline in the state in which you live to work independently as a therapist (i.e. Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
  • Ability to read, write and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.
  • Exhibits professionalism, courtesy and excellent customer service, while interacting with patients, guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Complies with the state laws for reporting abuse/neglect for children and adults.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule- evenings and weekends to meet patient needs.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks independently, and work collaboratively on group projects.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills/Data entry and computer skills.
  • Able to pass a mandatory Criminal Background Check (FBI and state) due to the sensitive nature of the position.
  • Able to pass mandatory Child Abuse Background/Sexual Registry Checks.
  • Ability to work independently- self-starter to support a growing practice.
  • Able to obtain/maintain Malpractice Insurance (policy required prior to start date).
  • Must be a team player, and motivated to continue pursuing continuous developmental opportunities to improve skill set.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing professional counseling services to include providing diagnosis, use of multiple therapeutic interventions and approaches, and experience developing treatment plans.
  • Experience completing psychosocial assessments, conducting various assessments, and entering timely progress notes.
  • Experience with electronic medical record maintenance; HIPAA/Privacy Act Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual sessions in a secure location consistent with HIPAA standards.
  • Assess and diagnose clients consistent with the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-V) guidelines.
  • Create treatment plans specific to the client’s goals, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Complete all documentation within 48 hours of a completed session.
  • Provide individual, family or group therapy interventions that take into account the client’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
  • Provide crisis intervention and assess risk factors of harm to self or others.
  • Refer to alternative or supportive services based on the client’s needs.
  • Provide timely electronic clinical documentation.
  • Consult and supervise with other clinicians.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Assist in training and orientation of others.
  • Attend staff meetings as instructed.
  • Complete relevant trainings, when tasked, to support business needs, and or compliance with state, local and federal laws and regulations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Meet weekly productivity requirements.
  • Ensure virtual sessions can be provided in a private and secure manner.
