About The Position

Join our team as an IOP therapist to provide structured clinical care for individuals in substance use recovery. In this role, you will facilitate therapy groups, conduct individual and family sessions, design treatment plans, and evaluate clients through level-of-care assessments. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a requirement of one or two evening shifts per week. Requirements

  • Graduate Degree required. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • 2 year of relevant experience required.
  • LPC, LCSW, Clinic Psychologist, or LMFT required.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS required within 3 months of hire.
  • Good working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age specific populations.
  • Constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate therapy groups
  • Conduct individual and family sessions
  • Design treatment plans
  • Evaluate clients through level-of-care assessments
  • Make treatments and level of care decisions independently
  • Collaborate with physician partners as needed
  • Provide complete patient assessments
  • Plan for therapeutic interventions and appropriate follow-up care
  • Implement treatment plans
  • Coordinate the treatment process
  • Perform discharge planning
  • Provide guidance to team members as they navigate patient concerns through teaching, good communication, and trust building behaviors
  • Utilize relationship building skills through rounding to provide training and coaching to team members on how to effectively connect with patients
  • Use patient feedback to create innovative ideas to meet patient needs
  • Ensure team members have pertinent information to educate patients on procedures and processes
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members, leadership, and community providers
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adjust activities to accommodate the needs of team members
  • Develop team members through mentoring, precepting, orientation, and timely feedback
  • Collaborate with leaders and other team members for positive experiences for patients
  • Implement treatment plan using best practice modalities and interventions to obtain optimal patient outcomes
  • Establish and maintain control of violent patients, defend self and others against violent assaults, and react appropriately during a psychiatric crisis
  • Continue professional development and assume responsibility as a self-directed professional for continuing education
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
