Requirements

  • Must hold or be working toward NC licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized Outpatient facility.
  • Assessing the therapeutic needs of the individuals and families, and developing appropriate treatment.
  • Acting as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process and serving as a client advocate with the treatment team.
  • Acting as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and individuals to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.
  • Exemplifying our 5 Star Service to clients, team members, referents, and families.
  • Demonstrating a high level of clinical skill in assessing the clinical needs of clients, determining appropriate interventions, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with these needs.
  • Completing psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports required for each client in compliance with State, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines and payor source guidelines.
  • Conducting weekly individual and family therapy sessions for assigned caseload.
  • Monitoring behavioral interventions for each client and providing skills coaching as needed.
  • Conducting specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience; supervising or co-leading groups with staff or interns when appropriate.
  • Selecting appropriate interventions to meet the clinical needs of individual clients.
  • Maintaining therapeutic relationship with clients using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
  • Setting limits and holding boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
  • Demonstrating effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation, involving other staff as needed.
