About The Position

Pasadena Villa Outpatient is seeking a full-time Therapist to join their Quad Cities team. Located on the Iowa-Illinois border, Pasadena Villa Outpatient Quad Cities specializes in treating adults (18+) with anxiety disorders, major depressive disorders, and personality disorders. They are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality, and individualized psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care to adults facing severe and persistent mental illness, while helping them improve social functioning in everyday life. The facility offers outpatient care Monday through Friday and provides exceptional benefits, development opportunities, and professional training. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology.
  • Must hold a (LMSW, LMHC, or Temporary MHC), in good standing, within the state of Iowa.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with clients with a primary mental health diagnosis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients, families’, and external partners.
  • Ability to sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the building.
  • Ability to speak and hear.
  • Requires clearance of TB test, criminal background check clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group and group therapy sessions for clients in an Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization mental health facility.
  • Assesses the therapeutic needs of clients, develops appropriate treatment plans, and facilitates group, family and individual therapy sessions.
  • Collaborates with clients, team members, external clinical partners and family members, as appropriate, to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.
  • Facilitates group, family and individual therapy sessions in accordance with the clinical program schedule.
  • Completes psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports in compliance with State, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines and payor source guidelines.
  • Ensures documentation reflects ongoing assessments of client’s clinical presentation and behaviors.
  • Facilitates specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience; supervises and/or co-leads groups with clinical interns, when appropriate.
  • Selects appropriate interventions to meet the clinical needs of individual clients.
  • Maintains therapeutic relationships with clients using praise and other reinforcers to encourage appropriate behaviors and attitudes.
  • Sets limits and holds boundaries in a kind and firm manner.
  • Conducts effective verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation involving other team members, as needed.
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge.
  • Attends clinical, consultation, and operations meetings; serves as a clinical advocate for assigned cases.
  • Communicates client progress with the referral sources, families, parents and/or guardians, as appropriate.
  • Addresses clients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in a welcoming and respectful manner.
  • Responds to clients and families with empathy and positive professional skills.
  • Can be relied upon to be at work as scheduled, proactively notifying supervisor of planned and unplanned time off needs.
  • Reads, understands, and adheres to all company policy statements on ethics, conduct, and conflict of interests; adheres to facility policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains positive attitude and acts as a team player with others on the team.
  • Attends and completes all trainings within assigned time frames.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
