Requirements

  • Master’s degree required in Mental Health and Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a negative drug screening prior to hire and throughout employment.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check, local checks, and DCF Level II Background Screening prior to hire and annually.
  • Must have valid Florida Driver’s License and pass motor vehicle checks prior to hire and annually with acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment along with reliable vehicle, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance. (must be in compliance with Florida Laws and Administrative Codes with fingerprinting and determined to be of good moral character).

Responsibilities

  • Completes mental health and psychosocial assessments as part of the diagnostic evaluation.
  • Provide evidence-based mental health treatment to clients either in person or via telehealth.
  • Conduct intakes, treatment planning, and psychotherapy services to diverse populations.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as needed.
  • Complete and maintain documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
  • Promotes communication and collaboration among agency programs.
  • Flexibility to provide services in client homes, schools, and other community settings.
  • Ability to be flexible with hours to meet client scheduling needs.
