About The Position

This position is a team-oriented program with small caseload. The therapist provides outpatient services to youth and their families in a setting that is most convenient to the youth and family (often in the home, school, or in the community). This position is in the Intensive In-home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT) program which serves both Josephine and Jackson Counties. Some travel is required between counties and to client’s homes/residences with a primary base out of Medford. Utilizes Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) in delivery of client services. Options provides on the job training and supervision for FIT.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Master's degree in a behavioral science, an understanding of co-occurring disorders, and related experience.
  • Must be a QMHP on the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) registry.
  • Meet eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO (please visit www.mhacbo.org for more information)
  • Must be registered as a licensure intern with the State of Oregon or be licensed in Oregon as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC or clinical Psychologist.
  • In order to avoid potential conflict of interest, applicants for this position cannot have received services from Options for Southern Oregon within the last 12 months.
  • Candidates must be able to use e-mail, compose documents, save and locate documents electronically, and learn to use our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Must pass state-required background and DMV checks; possess a valid OR driver's license and a satisfactory driving record to be approved for driving rights.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with substance abuse treatment for dually diagnosed clients preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word and other MS Office applications preferred.
  • Bilingual skills a plus; Options pays a premium for employees who can conduct business in Spanish and provide certification of a language proficiency test approved by the Oregon Health Authority that meets a proficiency level of “High Intermediate”.

Responsibilities

  • The IIBHT therapist will be responsible for providing services to children and adolescents, and their families, including assessment and treatment planning, as well as individual, family, and group therapy, some case management and care coordination.
  • There will be some on call work on a rotation with compensation.
  • This position also provides clinical direction to skills trainers and works cooperatively with school and community partners.
  • The therapist will utilize appropriate evidence-based practices; and will submit timely documentation of services provided using Electronic Health Records and collaborative documentation.
  • The candidate must also manage their time and caseload effectively.
  • Travels between sites and is required to drive, and depending on needs of the program, may transport clients.
