About The Position

Provides clinical assessment, psychotherapeutic interventions, and case management with patients/clients in the course of treatment. Follows all CVCH, departmental, WAC/RCW, and funding source guidelines. In this generalist role, provides clinical assessment, psychotherapeutic interventions, and case management, with patients/clients across the lifespan. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW) in WA State or eligible to obtain licensure upon hire.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with good driving record and access to a vehicle that is legally insured to be used for off-site clinical services consultation or case management.
  • Basic Life Support required.
  • All providers must be eligible for enrollment in Medicare and must not be currently opted out of the Medicare program.
  • Two years of mental health experience under the supervision of a qualified licensed professional to obtain licensure as indicated per RCW and WAC requirements.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of computer applications (e.g. Outlook, athenahealth) and equipment related to work.
  • Must have basic computer and keyboarding skills and ability to enter data within CVCH computer system; must demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other staff and management and with a wide range of consumers and constituencies and members of the public in a diverse community.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining productive work teams.
  • Demonstrated skill in a work environment in developing and maintaining productive relationships with the mentally ill.
  • Contact with the public is required.
  • Light physical effort; repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers; standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling; frequent sitting; lifting and/or moving items weighing 15 pounds; ability to read forms and computer screens and to read correspondence and other documents.
  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and ethics of professional discipline.
  • Knowledge, background and interest appropriate to providing sensitive, professional, direct support to mentally ill clients; ability to exercise sound independent judgment; ability to analyze problems and develop situation appropriate responses; ability to make decisions in line with state and federal regulations; ability to read, comprehend, and analyze documents, regulations, and policies; ability to prepare and submit complete and succinct documents.
  • Ability to read computer keyboard, monitor, and documents; prepare and analyze documents; read extensively; see, recognize, and assess non-verbal behaviors of consumers as part of the intake process; hear, recognize, and assess verbal presentations of consumers; receive and convey detailed information orally, by telephone and in person; convey accurate and detailed instructions by speaking to others in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to write and speak in a coherent manner.
  • Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions on a frequent basis with moderate noise.
  • Worker has contact with consumers and other staff and may be exposed to medical conditions presented by them.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts clinical intake assessments and develops treatment plans.
  • Provides clinical counseling and case management services to CVCH patients/clients.
  • Provides ongoing individual, family, or group counseling, using strengths and evidence-based approaches.
  • Documents clinical activity according to policies and in compliance with required timelines.
  • Provides case management services as needed.
  • Links clients and supports to community resources.
  • Coordinates treatment services and intervention strategies with internal and/or external services and supports, as appropriate.
  • As need and assigned will provide continuity of care through outreach services, including direct patient/client interventions at off-site locations such as local schools and community agencies.
  • Provides behavioral health outreach services with community partners, including providing education and training as directed.
  • Complies with policies and procedures, accreditation standards, and funding source requirements.
  • Attends all required agency and departmental meetings, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Participates in regular supervision.
  • Develops/implements curricula and session plans for groups.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Expected to meet attendance standards, and work the hours necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Conforms to safety policies and general housekeeping practices.
