About The Position

Green Mountain Support Services is hiring a Therapeutic Support Specialist in Lamoille County. This role is for individuals passionate about helping people with disabilities live safe, supportive, and emotionally fulfilling lives, believing that people with disabilities can direct their own lives and grow. The Therapeutic Support Specialist exemplifies commitment to respectful, positive, person-centered behavioral supports; promotes safety, autonomy, growth, and protection of personal rights; writes personalized support plans; provides guidance and direct support to individuals and teams experiencing challenging behaviors; and ensures adherence to established best practices and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the Human Services field
3–5+ years supporting individuals who experience behavioral challenges
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage work, workflows, and documentation efficiently and effectively
Ability to maintain confidentiality and model a calm, positive demeanor in stressful situations, with a commitment to relationship-driven behavioral change
Tech-savvy with experience using software systems and the ability to learn and navigate new platforms and applications
Valid driver’s license, registered and inspected vehicle, and auto insurance

Responsibilities
