About The Position

Hastings Senior Health & Living, a Cassia community, is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Director to join the team in Hastings, MN. This is your opportunity to join a solid, stable, and fun team. As a Therapeutic Recreation Director at Hastings Senior Health & Living, you will manage a small team of activities professionals, plan and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being and has a creative personality and positive attitude.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience working in an assisted living, independent, or long-term care environment preferred.
• Desire to work with the older adults required.
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
• Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
• Engaging, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and overflowing with creativity to share in planning new activities

Nice To Haves

• Artistic and musical skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage small team of activities professionals.
• Ensure meaningful activities are scheduled and executed seven days a week.
• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
