The Therapeutic Mentor is a qualified paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Supervisor to support the implementation of the master’s-level Clinician’s treatment plan. The Therapeutic Mentor assists the Clinician in addressing the youth’s mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs through structured, one-on-one, strengths-based support — helping youth build daily living, social, and communication skills through social, recreational, athletic, artistic, and educational activities. This role includes teaching youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control their feelings and emotional responses, while also supporting the family in addressing the youth’s emotional and mental health needs. Telephone consultations and coordination with the clinical team are integral to the role. This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Compensation is fee-for-service.
