About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Therapeutic Activity Worker to join their team at the program in Coraopolis, PA. This role involves providing escort service, direct care, and program assistance to developmentally disabled individuals under the direction of Program Instructors and the Program Director. The position offers a pay rate of $19.00/hr with an enhanced pay option and has flexible start times Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• A High School diploma and related work experience is desired.
• Such Training as may have been gained through working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements individual goal plans, alternate and /or back-up activities, and documents residents' attendance and progress in the program areas.
• Assists in organizing and conduction of special events and off - campus trips.
• Assists the residents' activities of daily living; such as, toileting, feeding and other personal hygiene needs.
• Provides guidance in social, recreational, education and therapeutic activities.
• Escorts residents to and from scheduled program classes.
