About The Position

ISS STOXX is hiring several temporary research analysts to support its Thematic Research teams during the spring annual shareholder meeting season. The role is based in the Rockville, Maryland, or Washington, DC, office, with an expected term beginning in January or February 2027 and ending in May or June 2027; dates may fluctuate. Analysts research governance and environmental and social issues at publicly traded companies, draft reports, and develop proxy vote recommendations under ISS STOXX policy guidelines. The role works with issues such as human rights and worker treatment, animal welfare, climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, political contributions and lobbying, sustainability reporting, board matters, shareholder rights, audit issues, compensation, and mergers and acquisitions. The position is full-time for 40 hours per week and follows a five-day-per-week in-office schedule. During peak season, approximately mid-April through May, overtime may be requested, including evenings or weekends, subject to manager approval. Payroll is handled by a third party, so ISS STOXX benefits do not apply; benefits may be available through that provider after an eligibility period. The Rockville office is in the King Farm community, with transit access, dining, green spaces, free parking, and an onsite gym. The Washington, DC, office is an open-floor workspace on Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest DC, with an onsite gym and metro access. Compensation is $26.00–$27.50 per hour, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, and education.
