Requirements

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals and techniques of creative and performing arts to be able to perform a diverse range of duties effectively.
  • A solid grasp of the principles and regulations specific to children's theatre.
  • Well-versed in lead work principles and rehearsal practices.
  • Ability to establish priorities, assign and review work, and resolve any arising issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and direct the development of engaging theatre art experiences tailored to the community's needs.
  • Ability to adapt and innovate in guiding both individual and collective growth in acting, stage management, and direction.
  • Must pass a thorough criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Hold auditions to select the finest talent for our productions.
  • Oversee programming and budgeting processes to ensure a successful season.
  • Address complaints and resolve disputes.
  • Maintain a safe space for both the public and staff.
  • Instruct and demonstrate essential skill sets to classes of approximately 60 to 100 participants.
  • Assign duties to all staff and volunteers.
  • Develop training programs and rehearsal schedules.
  • Make recommendations for the purchasing of costumes, equipment, and supplies.
