SAIC has an immediate need for a THAAD Training Systems Program Manager to support the development and delivery of numerous Training products for the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) portfolio located onsite at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Requirements

  • BS degree and at least fourteen (14) years of related experience.
  • Software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with software development processes such as CMM.
  • Hardware/software integration engineering experience.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess leadership and management skills that require very little feedback from supervisors.
  • Self-motivated; able to operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills that produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Agile hardware and software development environment.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects / programs.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and production efforts using agile processes to deliver software and hardware updates to the existing Institutional Conduct of Fire Trainer (ICOFT) based trainers.
  • Supervise multiple projects ensuring on time delivery, within budget, and meeting all performance and quality requirements.
  • Manage risks and issues.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams.
  • Monitor, track, and report contract, performance, and financial metrics.
  • Direct coordination, tracking, and submission of program deliverables.
  • Meet regularly with government management, technical leadership, and contractors to ensure a clear understanding of customer requirements, challenges, and performance.
  • Provide extensive project management experience working with hardware and software development teams, agile process methods, and financial management experience.
