About The Position

The Textile Sales Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, pricing, and stocking donations to ensure a smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. This position reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager and must embody the company's core values and mission. The role involves meeting specific production rates for processing textiles and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules.
• Able to frequently bend, twist, push, pull, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
• Tactful communication with the public and co-workers.
• Must be 18 to operate a compactor.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with current clothing, shoe styles, furniture, toys, brand names, etc.
• Adherence to standard retail practices and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, price, and tag donated textiles at a minimum rate of 80 pieces per hour (PPH), maintaining quality standards.
• Retrieve and turn in the Textile Production Sheet at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Transport carts containing items to be processed.
• Process donations promptly.
• Dispose of trash into designated True Trash receptacles.
• Organize racks for efficient stocking.
• Daily recording of PPH for tracking purposes.
