About The Position

The Textile Hanger hangs donated textiles using appropriate hangers based on each textile’s type and size. The role also maintains a clean, neat, and safe production area and follows the organization’s Core Principles. The position is entry level, full time, and located in Holly Hill, Florida. Requirements

• Ability to adhere to the organization’s Core Principles.
• Ability to react calmly and respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to listen to and follow directions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, including using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and to stoop, bend, kneel, push, pull, turn from side to side, and lean to remove items from containers.

• Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Knowledge of shoe brands and current trends.

Responsibilities

• Hang donated textiles using appropriate hangers based on the type and size of each textile.
• Keep the production area clean, neat, and safe.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow the appropriate dress code, including wearing a name badge.
• Assist in the Textile and Miscellaneous power hour process according to established procedures.
• Perform assigned duties within the framework of the organization’s Core Principles.
• Attend in-service sessions and related training as assigned by the Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
