About The Position

Tigua Construction Services (TCS) is seeking a Texas-Licensed Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) Contractor / Qualifying License Holder in support of a potential contract award for the VA Fisher House #1 HVAC Replacement project in San Antonio, Texas. This position is contingent upon contract award, final scope, and project requirements. The selected individual would provide applicable Texas ACR licensing coverage, technical oversight, and supervision for regulated HVAC work assigned to TCS.

Requirements

Current Texas Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor license with class and endorsement appropriate to the work assigned.
Commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration experience sufficient to provide technical supervision of the assigned HVAC work.
Ability to maintain the required business affiliation and insurance/licensing conditions applicable to the license.
OSHA 10 Construction certification if the individual performs onsite construction work.

Nice To Haves

Class A Texas ACR contractor license because the existing system is identified as approximately 30 tons.
OSHA 30 Construction certification for an individual who will exercise onsite supervisory or safety responsibilities.
Experience with commercial HVAC replacement in occupied healthcare, federal, or institutional facilities.

Responsibilities

Provide or support the licensing coverage required for TCS to perform regulated air-conditioning and refrigeration work in Texas.
Provide technical supervision to registered/certified HVAC technicians consistent with Texas licensing requirements.
Review field installation for code, manufacturer, and approved submittal compliance within the assigned TCS workshare.
Support mechanical permit and inspection coordination when assigned to TCS.
Provide technical direction for equipment installation, refrigerant piping, pressure testing, evacuation, startup, and commissioning activities.
Coordinate technical issues with the TCS HVAC/R Lead Mechanic and the prime contractor's Superintendent.
