About The Position

At Jefferson RISE, assessments are a critical part of measuring and driving student achievement. The Testing Proctor ensures all assessments are administered with integrity, consistency, and attention to detail. This role is responsible for creating a calm, structured testing environment while supporting students in following all testing procedures and accommodations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to execute systems with precision in a fast-paced school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer state tests, unit exams, quizzes, and make-up assessments in alignment with school protocols
  • Clearly communicate testing procedures and expectations to students
  • Monitor testing environments to ensure compliance, focus, and academic integrity
  • Document and report any testing irregularities
  • Prepare all testing materials and technology in advance (e.g., devices, accommodations, platforms)
  • Ensure assessments are properly set up in testing systems
  • Coordinate student attendance for testing sessions, including accommodations and make-ups
  • Troubleshoot basic technology issues during testing
  • Maintain accurate records of testing sessions and student participation
  • Follow all school and state testing policies and procedures with fidelity
  • Communicate proactively with the Assessment Coordinator regarding needs or issues
