About The Position

Reporting to the Coordinator of Testing Services, the primary role of the Testing Proctor II is to proctor WorkKeys testing for students and the community at the Kingsport Testing Center location. The Testing Proctor will maintain a monthly invoice for third-party billing. The Testing Proctor will proctor other college tests in Kingsport during peak times and when available in Blountville. Evening and weekend shifts may be scheduled, up to 2 or 3 evenings per month and/or 1 Saturday per month.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Clerical and/or customer service experience.
  • Technology Skills: MS Office Suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision on moderately difficult to complex tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience with proctoring exams.
  • Work experience in an educational setting.
  • Conversational ability or fluency in a second language.

Responsibilities

  • Proctor WorkKeys testing at the Kingsport Testing Center.
  • Proctor other college testing needed at Kingsport, primarily, but also Blountville when needed.
  • Create and manage testing dates in an online scheduling system in coordination with the Testing Services Coordinator.
  • Maintain the security of all examinations housed and delivered by Testing Services.
  • Complete required third-party annual certification tests and adhere to all third-party testing policies and procedures.
  • Create WorkKeys rosters, maintain an in-house database, and provide a monthly invoice for third-party billing to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify placements in BANNER, and upload ACCUPLACER test scores accurately.
  • Maintain confidential student records; adhere to applicable testing, Northeast State, and TBR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Testing Services initiatives and related college testing as needed.
  • Be able to work independently with supervision from the Testing Services Coordinator.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings as available.
  • Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
