About The Position

This role involves hands-on boat testing and working on product design in a concurrent engineering environment under the direction of the Testing Engineering Manager. The engineer will be responsible for testing components and systems, assisting R&D technicians, and communicating test results to various stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4-year Degree in Engineering
• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and principles
• Personal computer experience (Word, Excel, Scheduling, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent written skills with the ability to communicate test data and results in formal report format to multiple companies
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Project management and teamwork skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 – 3 Years marine engineering experience is preferred
• "Hands On" testing experience is preferred
• Ability to learn the use of laboratory and field-testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform "Hands On" boat testing.
• Work on product design in a concurrent engineering environment.
• Follow test procedures and equipment set up details.
• Test components and systems.
• Assist R&D technicians in testing components and systems.
• Communicate with suppliers on component test results.
• Communicate with various departments on a global scale.
• Communicate testing requirements to outside laboratories.
• Write formal test reports in a timely manner.
• Communicate test reports to the engineering team.
• Prepare and present test data and results in a formal meeting setting.
