About The Position

The Testing Engineer will design, develop and implement test hardware and software for production testing of new products. Evaluate deadlines, goals and develop project schedules. Design, develops, and implement solutions to improve test yields, reduce over all Test time, provide for test capacity increases, minimize downtime, and optimize test/process flows. This includes implementing new processes and technologies, utilizing statistical tools, and developing innovations to existing problems and issues. Analyzes and critiques equipment designs/processes relative to market requirements, manufacturability, costs and technical requirements. Identifies technical and quality problems, determines alternatives and evaluates them to arrive at the most acceptable approach including conformity to specifications, reliability, cost effectiveness, testability and reparability. Identifies need for, assesses and/or develops technical/process specification standards and participates in establishing the procedures to ensure they are followed. Prepares and presents technical reports to influence the decision making process. Provide technical information and participates as a speaker in technical programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • 2 plus years of experience as a Software Engineer, or Hardware Testing Engineer required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area to be considered for this opportunity!

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to code programming languages
  • Experience working in a Hardware, or Software environment preferred.
  • Strong RF knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of test systems Hardware and Software architecture preferred.
  • Familiarity with UNIX, C & C++
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision preferred.
